What We Do

We represent 43 Habitat For Humanity affiliates across Michigan. Through leadership, advocacy, and education, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan has helped thousands of families improve their everyday lives.

Homebuyer Counseling & Financial Coaching

Habitat Michigan, a HUD-approved agency, employs certified counselors and coaches to assist Michigan residents in enhancing their financial and housing situations, guiding and supporting them in their journey toward homeownership while eliminating obstacles along the way.

Home Repair Programs

Habitat affiliates in Michigan receive funding through partnership grants to collaborate with families needing urgent and costly critical repairs in their homes, prioritizing safety, health, and security by assessing and ranking needs along a critical path, ensuring timely completion of essential steps to address safety and health issues affecting many Michigan families.

Veterans Housing Programs

Habitat for Humanity of Michigan offers housing services for veterans, providing resources for critical home repairs, home modifications for disabilities, and homeowner assistance programs.

Lending Programs

Habitat for Humanity of Michigan facilitates connections to mortgage programs that empower individuals to secure affordable homeownership. We also provide working capital to local Habitat organizations, helping build new homes and expand access to safe, stable housing across the state.

Advocate

Through collaborative efforts with local communities, policymakers, and volunteers, Habitat for Humanity of Michigan actively works to address housing challenges, promote equitable solutions, and empower families with the stability and opportunity that a secure home provides.

Let’s build a world where everyone has a decent place to live. At Habitat Michigan, we think it’s possible, but we believe change needs to happen in our own neighborhood first. That’s why we provide programs, education, and resources to strengthen Michigan communities. We speak for 43 affiliates across the state that are bringing hope and shelter to Michigan families.
