Forest Hills Northern High School students raise $72,000

GRAND RAPIDS -- Forest Hills Northern High School students, more than 1,000 of them, on Wednesday will celebrate the culmination of a year long effort to raise $70,000 and help build the first student-led Habitat for Humanity home in Michigan.

Students raised the money. They spent school days wielding tools and, perhaps more importantly, they helped an Afghanistan refugee mother and her two children move into their first real home in the U.S.
