  • AmeriCorps Members will receive a living stipend of $6,750, paid biweekly on the 15th and last of the month throughout the member’s term
  • AmeriCorps members receive an Educational Award at the end of the term of $2,907.50, which is good for seven years after receipt and can be used for either tuition purposes or to repay eligible federal student loans.
  • The term of service is from May 2018 – November 2018



The Construction Liaison will support Habitat for Humanity of Isabella County in the construction and rehabilitation of homes to further the affiliate mission.

Primary duties include:

  • Assisting with the development of construction schedules and budgets
  • Supervising and training volunteers on Habitat construction sites. This includes rehabilitation, deconstruction, repairs, weatherization, and new construction.
  • Preparing and cleaning project sites
  • Serving as a liaison between the affiliate and area business partners/contractors regarding projects
  • Other activities related ton construction and home repair as defined by the affiliate and approved by the AmeriCorps Program Manager


  • High school diploma/equivalent required. College experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License
  • Knowledge and experience in the construction/contracting business; experience in new home construction preferred
  • Understanding of the Michigan Building Code
