Applications are currently being accepted for AmeriCorps members to fill a Homeowner Services Liaison position with Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity. IMPORTANT DETAILS:

  • AmeriCorps Members will receive a living stipend of $6,750, paid biweekly on the 15th and last of the month throughout the member’s term
  • AmeriCorps members receive an Educational Award at the end of the term of $2,907.50, which is good for seven years after receipt and can be used for either tuition purposes or to repay eligible federal student loans.
  • The term of service is from May 2018 – November 2018

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit potential applicants for homeownership, repair, A Brush With Kindness (ABWK), and similar programs. Partner with other community agencies to expand recruitment efforts.
  • Serve with the Homeowner/Family Support Committee to assist in supporting homeowner partnerships
  • Assist with assessing and improving current efforts to engage and impact Veterans in the community through Habitat services
  • Assist with improving the homeowner application process through in-depth study of current and former homeowners
  • Work with development team to create content highlighting homeowner success stories for Lakeshore Habitat’s 150th home build celebration

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma/equivalent required. College experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Must have valid Driver’s License

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Graphic design experience
  • Video editing experience
