  1. AmeriCorps Members will receive a living stipend of $6,400, paid biweekly on the 15th and last of the month throughout the member’s term
  2. AmeriCorps members receive an Educational Award at the end of the term of $2,887.50, which is good for seven years after receipt and can be used for either tuition purposes or to repay eligible federal student loans.
  3. The term of service is from July 2017 – February 2018


  • Supervise & train volunteers on Habitat construction sites. This includes rehabilitation, deconstruction, repairs, weatherizations, and new construction.
  • Prepare and clean projects sites.
  • Evaluate property for purchase and check for lead/asbestos.
  • Serve as a liaison between Habitat and area business partners/contractors regarding projects.


  • AmeriCorps members must be at least 18 years old (17 with parent/guardian permission)
  • Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Candidates must be either a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction industry or related field


  • Knowledge of current building codes and lead/asbestos guidelines is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
