Mary Rochow

Administrative Assistant

A native of West Michigan, Mary attended Aquinas College in Grand Rapids and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and a Minor in Catholic Studies. Her first few years post-college found her in a variety of work ranging from a volunteer year at a service-learning organization in New Jersey to a position as a bakery supervisor in East Lansing. An itch to find a fulfilling, long-term position led her to apply for the Administrative Assistant posting at Habitat for Humanity of Michigan. She has been smitten with Habitat ever since, and becoming a first-time homeowner in 2015 has further committed her to the cause of safe, decent, and affordable housing for all.

As Habitat Michigan’s Administrative Assistant, Mary is the cheerful voice that answers the office phone and serves as the assistant to the Chief Operating Officer, coordinates the Habitat Michigan Orientation, provides support in the planning and execution of the annual AIM Conference and Awards Banquet, and is always ready to lend a hand to a new project.

Outside of the office, Mary enjoys cooking, reading, working on various house projects, spending time with her husband and daughter, and seizing any opportunity to travel around her beloved Michigan.
